Patio Dedication/Ging Gang Goolie Sing-a-long Night

We joined forces with the 62nd Bristol Guides and the 183rd Bristol Brownies along with the congregation of the Methodist Church to celebrate the opening of the patio behind the Church Hall.

As you are probably already aware, the patio was conceived and funded as part of a joint initiative between the Scouts and the Guides of the Church to mark the centenary of Scouting 1907-2007.

Under the supervision of Bob Wrench, the work was carried out by volunteers of the Scouts and Guides in partnership with the Probation Service as part of their unpaid work programme.  Our immense thanks go out to Bob for all his hard work over the last few months.

The celebrations ended with a “Ging Gang Goolie” sing-a-long around a mock campfire led by Scout and Guide Leaders in their colourful camp blankets.

It is planned in due course to bury a Time Capsule in the garden containing items relating to the Scouts & Guides, the Methodist Church and the local Westbury-on-Trym area.
